Octopus

This is considered “Squid” but is very differnt in taste and texture. Octopus has more of a meat texture and is harder to cook and prep. IT can be paired with the same ingredients but is usually the center piece in East Asian cuisine.

It plays a big roll in Mediterranean cuisine, but mainly in areas that have gulf coast and rocky surrounds such as Spain, Maldives, Maltese and Portugal.
