Marjoram

Marjoram has a weird name than is other Cousin, Oregano. The difference between the two is a strong minty flavor it brings once the oils are released. This is used highly in Hungary and other inland countries in Europe for this “fresh” reason.

It does has a small roll on Portuguese and French cuisine out to the west. It is best served with Mushrooms and eggplants with salty sauces.
